ABOUT
Tayler is an AACTA Award-nominated film editor, driven by a love of storytelling and guided by emotion and rhythm. She sees each project as an opportunity to immerse herself in a new world, to listen and learn, so that the heart of the story is captured in her work.
A pivotal experience was being one of three editors on the feature documentary Mystify: Michael Hutchence, which earned her an AACTA Award nomination for Best Editing. This project ignited her passion for documentary and archival storytelling, leading to work on projects including Why Did She Have To Tell The World for ABC's "Compass" and Ngarra Jarra Noun (Healing), which aired on Channel 7. Her work extends across documentary, drama, commercial, and music video projects. She has worked with networks and clients including ABC, BBC, global marketing brand VMLY&R, Amazon, Vision Australia, Victorian Parliament, and Respect Victoria.
Beyond editing, Tayler works as an Archive Producer and Post-Production Supervisor, bringing expertise across the entire post-production workflow. She has spent many years fostering connections in the commercial archive space and has developed strong knowledge of clearance documentation and rights.
Most recently, Tayler has been post supervising and archive producing a feature documentary about the band Crowded House. She was also a mentor as part of Screen Australia's Skills Development Program, guiding two emerging edit assistants in the archival documentary space.
Tayler also brings experience in production coordinating and production assisting, offering additional versatility to support projects from development through delivery. Her coordinating work includes multiple projects with the band Crowded House, including filming of a two night concert at the Sydney Opera House and several film shoots for a feature film, as well as projects with clients such as Coles and the Parliament of Victoria.
